Ribbon Policy

8 & Under Swimmers

• All 6 & Under and 7-8 swimmers shall receive a ribbon for each individual stroke they swim at a meet.
• Ribbons given at home meets in these age groups are 1^st through 6^th places, Heat Winner, Time Improvement, and Participant.

9-10 to 15-18 Swimmers

• All swimmers in the 9 - 18 year old bracket shall receive ribbons for each event in which they place or win their heat.
• Ribbons given at home meets in these age groups are 1^st Place, 2^nd Place, and 3^rd Place.

Relays

• Members of relays that place 1^st Place, 2^nd Place, and 3^rd will receive a ribbon.

Time Improvement

• Time Improvement ribbons are given to those swimmers who better their own personal time in any individual event at any given meet.

Polliwogs

• Polliwogs will participate in one of the home meets to be determined by the coaches.  They will receive a participant ribbon at that meet.

Presentation

• Ribbons will be placed in the swimmers family folder during home meets, or the Monday/Thursday after away meets.
• Coaches may decide to hand out Time Improvement ribbons personally as part of training.
